Myro:Home Pro 2.50 - release notes and feedback
« on: Today at 01:46:24 pm »
Public App Store release: 2.50
Release status verified on October 22, 2026. Availability can vary by region and device. These are the published release notes; in-review and TestFlight builds are separate.

Myro:Home Pro 2.5 is built for iPhone Duo, with a big HomeKit update.

Subscriptions keep Myro:Home Pro in active development. Arming and disarming stay free for everyone: our give-back to anyone who just needs security.

HAI / LEVITON
• Connects faster at home: when your phone is on the same network as your controller, Pro goes straight to the controller's LAN address learned from Myro:Home Helper, then falls back to your outside address. Requires Myro:Home Helper 5.0.
• Reliability — Fixed a crash on the Security screen for an area that has never run a timer.
• Encryption keys — If your controller rejects the keys, Pro now shows the alert once and stops retrying, so you can open settings and correct them. Tap Connect to try again.
• Bypassed zones show their status on one line, like every other tile.

NESS / ELK (PREVIEW)
• The iPhone Duo layouts work with your ELK controller too: areas, zones, lighting, outputs and thermostats across the unfolded display. ELK support remains a preview.
• Reliability — Omnistat thermostats no longer wait on a timeout after the connection drops and reconnects.

HOMEKIT
• More of your Home: colour and white-spectrum bulbs, scenes, fans, humidifiers and purifiers, battery levels, and humidity, light, CO2 and air-quality sensors. Switches and outlets now respond.
• Live video from HomeKit cameras, with snapshots while it connects.
• Faster, more dependable control: taps work right after launch, a device that doesn't respond says why and its tile goes back, and lost HomeKit access shows as "not responding".
• Siri and Shortcuts control your HomeKit lights, locks, blinds and thermostats (free with a HomeKit-only controller), as do CarPlay and Apple Watch with a subscription. They only say it's done once HomeKit confirms.
• Setup keeps your devices when you re-import rooms. HomeKit-only controllers get a °F / °C setting.

FOR EVERYONE
• Free version — Arm and disarm in every mode, free. Zones and locks, Favorites, the rest of Status, Siri, Shortcuts, CarPlay, Apple Watch and Live Activities are part of the subscription; choose Hide for now on Status. The emergency button is hidden in the free version.
• New subscription screen — Choose Complete (Pro and Myro:Home together), Pro Yearly or Pro Monthly, with Restore Purchases, Terms and Privacy always in reach.
• Lighter on your battery — Location monitoring runs only when you have a location trigger, and long connections no longer build up memory.
• Myro:Home Pro for Apple TV — The Cameras tab now introduces our Apple TV app, which shows up to nine cameras at once.
• Header and room photos — Newly selected photos are saved at higher resolution for sharper backgrounds on iPad and iPhone Duo. Select a photo again to sharpen an existing background.
• iPhone Duo, unfolded — Status, Rooms, Security and Climate become one surface across the hinge, with nothing placed under the fold, and the tab bar moves to the side.
• Half-open view — Stand your Duo half-open like a laptop and Status becomes a glance on the top half, readable across a room, with your Favorites and tab bar on the flat half.
• Folded, it's the app you know, with a subtle glass look on every iPhone and iPad. Prefer the classic look? Turn off Glass Tiles in the Status screen's menu.
• iPad — New layouts make better use of portrait and landscape, with more room for your controls, cameras and audio. Favorites brings starred cameras and active audio controls together.
• Cameras — Faster, steadier connections: one offline camera no longer stalls the others, a frozen stream reconnects on its own, and streams keep running as you switch tabs.
• Events show saved history right away, and Rooms, Cameras and Events follow you when you switch controllers.
• Tab bar — Drag a screen from More onto the tab bar and the two swap places. Reordering is smoother everywhere, with an empty slot showing where the screen will land.
