Set up the boat, then each engine
Add your boat with its current engine hours and preferred units. For a twin-engine boat, keep each engine's hours and service records tied to the correct engine. Add identifying details privately; they are not needed in a public support post.

Keep useful records
  • Fuel: enter quantity, cost and the applicable hours. Consistent, complete entries make fuel-burn trends useful; partial fills or missing hours can distort an average.
  • Service: record date/hours, engine or boat, provider, parts/labor and work performed. Attach receipt/photos where useful.
  • Reminders: configure hour-based and/or time-based maintenance and review progress after logging a service.
  • Seasonal checklists: start from a template, adapt it to your boat and equipment, and add notes to items. A checklist is a recordkeeping aid; follow the vessel/equipment manufacturer's procedures.
  • Parts: record spares, update stock as you use them and keep purchase/provider details with the item.
Backups in Boat Care 2.00
Configure automatic backups to the phone, iCloud Drive or another chosen folder. Check that a recent backup exists before changing devices or importing/restoring records.

For help, include the Boat Care version, device/OS, the affected boat/engine record, what you expected and what happened. Redact registration numbers, precise locations, payment details and personal contacts in screenshots.
