One of the most frequently asked questions is what parts do I have connected to my OmniPro II. Here's the complete list!

- three viewsonic airpanels (running advanced version of future my:ro control)

Its cool to see someone finally using the SmartDisplays to their advantage. They were well before their time. What models are you using (V110, V150, etc)? Did you snag them used off eBay? Do they really have the horsepower to run your my:ro well enough? Are you running my:ro locally on them or through Remote Desktop via another machine as the SmartDisplays were designed for?

Yes, both v110 and v150... I've had them for a few years. I'm about to retire them with the wireless panels that HAI will be releasing soon as those run XP embedded. The smart displays connect via a Windows 2003 server (terminal), fidelity is not as great as running locally, but it works.

I have Myro Control Software pulling in the data... I will have native/direct support with my server version. I just had a baby girl on 1/8/09 so development has been slow... I should be picking up in the next few weeks. HAI released 3.0 firmware and I'm slowly testing and adding functionality to Myro Control for FW 3.0. I'm also working on my first iPhone application which will be a camera view first, then expand to automation control.

Wondering if you could elaborate on the HVAC zone control you have listed. I am just finishing up the HVAC and getting ready to order a zone controller.
you mention.........
---------------
- RCS Climate Zone Controller
- three RC-2000 Thermostats
----------------
I have spoken with both HAI and RCS and they both claim to not support each other.
RCS says they do not have a zone controller that is capable of working with the OMNI-PRO
HAI says they do not support the RCS family and sent me a list of 3 other zone controller mfg's

Not that it matters but curious as to how your system is setup.

I'm using the RSC as the three zone controller (I'll look up the model tomorrow)... it gets wired into the Furnace, dampers and the tstats.

Basically how it works is the each floor has a tstat (you can put more remote temp sensors wired up together to average the temp in different rooms). The tstat gets wired into the OmniPro and to the RCS the RCS to the furnace. So when the omnistat calls for heat, it tells the RCS, which then calls the furnace and adjusts the dampers. If a zone asks for cooling and another asks for heat, the heat overrides the cooling.

That's how I have my system setup...

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Danny

What wifi card are you using with the airpanel? mine just arrived without an aircard. I am definately looking forward the Itunes or Media Player plug in :) ... this would make a great home theater interface.

Are you speaking of the Viewsonic Airpanels? They should have built-in wifi cards, 802.11b. Did they not?

The one I got was 100. I ended up using Cisco card for it. Works ... But fidelity is horrible. Not what I expected at all... :(
