Myro:Bridge development and version notes - 2026
Myro:Bridge remains an active project. This update summarizes the versioned firmware/updater work recorded in the project in August 2026. It is a change summary, not a download or distribution announcement.
MYRO-BRIDGE-RS / Sonos firmware 4.0.0
- Improved cold-start Ethernet initialization and recovery when the network chip or MAC-address read is slow or unavailable.
- Fixed DHCP regressions, added lease renewal/recovery and made duplicate offers and managed-switch startup more reliable.
- Avoids endless network/ZonePlayer retry loops; the bridge can retain RNET operation while retrying network availability.
- Reworked Sonos metadata handling for sources including TuneIn, Victrola, Amazon Music and other captured services; improved title/album handling and service fallbacks.
- More reliable event subscriptions and validation of incoming event senders.
- Improved accented text/curly-quote display on RNET keypads, RNET frame transmission and boot-stage diagnostics.
- Web status displays the bridge's MAC and IP addresses.
MYRO-BRIDGE-W / Matrix firmware 2.0.0
Carries the cold-boot, DHCP and network-recovery improvements into the matrix firmware. The project supports 43 matrix protocols; compatibility still depends on the exact switcher model/protocol. The web status page now shows MAC and IP information.
Mac and Windows BridgeUpdater 3.0.0
- Includes the versioned Sonos 4.0.0 and Matrix 2.0.0 selections.
- Corrected firmware/page retry handling after a negative acknowledgement.
- Improved device/port checks and the warning for a port that is not a Myro:Bridge.
- Fixed a USB-unplug crash, connection-button behavior and debug-terminal layout; refreshed version/About information.
- Modernized Mac building, signing and notarization.
