Your first bottles
Add a wine by scanning its label/barcode or entering it manually. Review the identified wine and vintage before saving, then set how many bottles you own. When opening a bottle, mark it consumed so your inventory and tasting history stay useful.
Find and enjoy your collection
Use cellar locations/maps to record where bottles live, drinking windows to find wines that are ready, and tasting notes to capture what you thought. Suggested drinking windows and AI-filled details can be reviewed and edited.
Move an existing collection
Export a CSV from your previous system and use CellarLog's Import workflow. Inspect the preview and field-by-field changes before saving. Preserve the Short IDs in a CellarLog export when editing and re-importing it; test a small sample before importing a whole collection.
Back up before big edits
Use the app's Backup option to make a complete archive, including photos. Keep a copy in a location you control. iCloud sync keeps devices in step, while a backup gives you a separate recovery copy.
Full online user guide
Read the CellarLog getting-started guide (https://cellarlog.app/guide) for quantities, cellar maps, drinking windows, tasting notes, CSV, NFC, Niimbot printing, Apple Watch, widgets and Shared Cellar. Features and screen labels can vary by app version; check the current release topic in this board.
Current public version: 3.02. For scanning issues, include the wine name/vintage and which field needs correcting; remove personal purchase/contact information from screenshots.
