Hi, i need to know how many zones of wyrestorm are supported. I Can multiple wirestrom units stacked together be controlled via Russound stacked units.? I have an installation that consists of 3 c5 units connected together via r-net. I think we will need more than 1 matrix. Will myro talk to both matrices?

Hi, yes you can use a single Myro:Bridge with multiple connected Russound controllers.  We currently support up to 16 zones.   How many video sources and outputs will your 3 C5 need?

You can also daily chain Myro:Bridges together to control 2 8x8's or 4x8, etc.  Or you can use 2 Key Digital Matrix and use a single Myro:Bridge with our Key Digital (Daisy-chained A01/A02 Prefix) feature.  This works great and limits the need to manage two Myro:Bridges.

Lots of options -- but please provide a bit more detail on how many inputs / outputs you plan on using with this project.

Tech Notes / FAQ / Russound: Setting Myro:Link ID to RNET ID (Source)
« on: April 25, 2014, 08:48:46 am »
If you are setting up a Myro:Air to work with a Russound system, it has been tested to work with the following RNET based Russound systems:

- CAM
- CAV
- E-Series (Sphere)
- C-Series (C3/C5)

To use Myro:Air as a Russound "Smart Source" you need to setup as you would an "iBridge Dock".     Typical settings for CAV is setting the Command type as "Peripheral" and the Myro:Link ID to match the Source number (e.g. Myro:Air connected to Source 2 input, set Myro:Link ID to 2).

For E & C-Series systems, you setup the source in the windows system configuration software (SCS).  Select the source and apply the "iBridge Dock" template to the source input.

Please note: We advise not to connect Myro:Air to Source Input 1 (Myro:Link ID 1) because that is typically reserved for the built in AM/FM radio of the C3/C5.   We have also experienced issues with CAM/CAV when using ID 1.

For sure!   Key Digital has a single protocol for their switchers which makes it very nice to integrate with.   That said, if you plan on "daisy changing" 4x8's to accomplish a 4x16, our firmware has another setting you can do this only with Key Digital.

Tech Notes / FAQ / Re: Crestron Control Module

Great news!  We have the cover art working.   We have also added "song_length" to the protocol.   The new firmware features are being QA'd and should be released in a couple weeks.

I've updated the list with the new switchers we support ---

We recommend Key Digital and Wyrestorm matrix switchers.   SnapAV, Octava, Atlona are also great and have been tested.

Tech Notes / FAQ / Setting up Myro:Bridge with Sonos
« on: April 17, 2014, 03:15:59 pm »
The most common call we get is "I cannot get the metadata to show up on the keypad".

First, check out this typical connection diagram.

Next, check out this manual for Sonos Firmware Installation.

If you still have issues, please create a support ticket.

General Discussion / Re: The myro and Plex
« on: April 17, 2014, 08:27:35 am »
Hi!  We'd like you to experience Myro:Air - since we do small production runs (and are a small company) we don't have the economies of scale the bigger guys do and our parts (e.g. wima capacitors and wolfson DAC) and labor (all U.S.A. based) are more expensive too.

We have a few review units out currently.  I may be able to offer one of those as a refurb when it comes back in.

We don't have any units I can extend a discount right now... Create a support ticket (http://www.myrocontrol.com/support) so we have this in the system.  We'll let you know if a unit becomes available.

Cheers!

Hi
The product looks very promising. Looking forward to test it. I just had a look at the Crestron Module, did you also plan to provide an URL for the cover art?
Regards
Jonas

Hi! Just wanted to let you know that cover art may be coming sooner than later  ;D  -- will update the protocol doc when it's ready.

General Discussion / Re: Myro:Air Packaging
« on: March 29, 2014, 09:00:50 am »
Danny,
Thanks for sharing the progress photos.
It is truly exciting to see an American made product in the works.
Craftsmanship is always worth the wait; if there is one thing Apple has taught us....."the packaging is the icing on the cake"!
I look forward to providing feedback on my first install.......patience grasshopper!

@Wolfman, exactly -- we're almost there!  Cases will be arriving end of next week.   Once we do the finally assembly, we'll be shipping out the pre-orders -- trying to get them out the door before schedule ;D

I'm excited as much as you to get them into people's hands -- we've been lucky to have pre-production units around to enjoy daily.

Best,
Danny
