If that feature has not been enabled or setup on the controller it should automatically hide -- is that not the case for you?  Can you do me a favor and under "About" tab, under features -- what does it show for you system?  This could be a bug -- can you also submit to http://myrocontrol.com/support so I can log a ticket?

Feature Request / Re: Data Transfer Tool
« on: February 18, 2019, 08:35:24 am »
Is it possible to have the Data Transfer Tool replace an existing entry with the same name?

Is it possible to have the Data Transfer Tool transfer the layout of the buttons on the bottom of the screen?

Thanks

If the controller has already been downloaded and you try to overwrite with the same, that could cause some issues.   I have an open bug to fix for this situation.

Tab order is not currently transferred -- I will add that to the feature request list.

Feature Request / Re: Security tab sorting
« on: February 18, 2019, 08:32:23 am »
Hi -- the security tab in Myro:Home is modeled after Haiku's layout and items should be grouped.   Are you not seeing that?  Perhaps the initial sync failed and may require a sync again with the controller to download the object types (that is used to sort).  Can you create a support ticket (http://myrocontrol.com/support) with a screenshot of your security tab so I can see?

General Discussion / Re: "My:ro home vs snaplink?
« on: January 20, 2019, 04:17:59 pm »
Hi Steve!  Thanks for your interest in Myro:Home — we have both an iOS app that is an interface like snaplink but power powerful.   We also offer Myro:Home Helper that is a macOS app that can expose your HAI units as HomeKit accessories where you can then do more automation with apple’s Home App.

Hope this helps — let me know if you have any other questions.

General Discussion / Re: Free functionality removed?
« on: January 16, 2019, 08:36:55 pm »
The way I look at it, the OmniPro is still a top performer and I never really saw HAI as a consumer facing product, even back in 2004 when I installed my system. The system I installed is still as relevant today as it was back then and because they provided access to the protocol we’ve been able to extend support and capabilities over the years.

I’d still spec a home with an HAI system.

I’ve been thinking how I’d improve the platform if say an OmniPro iii was to be released... i’d have some recommendations as to the api,etc but concerns would be around stability.   They really nailed it with the platform... I have NEVER had a system crash and i’d just hate to have the platform turn into today’s disposable systems.

Thanks and you are correct, I'm a user of this app as well.   I thought about open sourcing but that doesn't really work for an iOS app as it requires yearly developer account.   Unfortunately, I have other personal and business related projects/commitments, I don't have any interest in participating in other projects at this time (e.g. OpenHAB).  Plus, I've seen lots of HAI/OmniLink projects that have become abandoned over the years so there is no guarantee of a better product.    Over the years (since 2009), I've never had a single developer (user of HAI/OmniPro) reach out and commit to helping with the project, but I've had many ask just for the code and libraries...

I'm committed to keeping this project going and I hope we can create a vibrant community.  I'd love for users to provide feedback that will make it worth them paying for the app.

Others are free to disrupt and create a better app... my value add is 10+ yrs of being a HAI connected partner (means nothing now since Leviton bought them), I fully understand their protocol (have ported it many times in many languages and OSes) and I am also a user.

Thanks for the support and I really encourage this type of feedback.

Hi! Thanks for the support -- free version provides security only.  The thermostats (Climate) are only available in the paid version.   For the first 14-days of release, I had thermostats and aux sensors in the Status screen so I could test out with a wider group -- particularly because I didn't have any Celsius beta testers.  The "Climate" tab was never in the free version... hope that makes sense.

I'm hoping Apple provides/enabled "family" subscription support this year because you're right, it makes sense for other subscription apps, but maybe not Myro:Home -- I heard of some folks with a workaround -- you can probably google it to see if it works.

Unfortunately, I need a sustainable monetization model to keep development going and subscription seems to be the only way possible.  If you have suggestions, I'd love to hear a better way business/monetization model.

Thanks!

General Discussion / Re: Renaming Security Zones
« on: January 03, 2019, 02:23:51 pm »
I used the double-tap method on everything except the security zones...where I don't get a "full control screen", just the bypass popup on the right.  Should I be seeing a full control screen for security zones?

Hi Mike, correct, there is no full control screen for security zones.

Hi!  You can also double tap on the name in the full control screen to rename...in addition to the swipe action.

Thanks for the quick response!

There's something not quite right with the button, though, when the iPad is in portrait orientation...I can't find anyway to get the new button to bring up the list of favorites.  The button brings up the list when the iPad is landscape.

The iPad issue has been address in v1.04 build currently waiting approval by Apple.

General Discussion / Re: Myro:Home / Myro:Home Helper for iOS / MacOS

The app store description and images should provide enough details... haven't had a chance yet to shot a video.  Essentially, the $99 is for HomeKit accessory bridge feature -- consider the rest "free".

Yes, the Myro:Home Helper is $99...  I appreciate the support and hope to continue providing the HAI/Leviton community with extend functionality.

If you have never “subscribed” you will get a 14-day trial... if you selected free, it will display without the 14-day but when you actually select one it will give you a 14-day trial.
