Tech Notes / FAQ / Myro:Bridge stops updating metadata

There are two typical causes to this issue:

1) The Sonos:Connect subscription duration is valid for about 1 hour in which it provides updates to the Myro:Bridge.  Within that time, Myro:Bridge refreshes or "re-subscribes" with the Sonos device.   If you find that you lose "sync" after an hour, it means that there is a problem with your network as Myro:Bridge cannot effectively subscribe to the Sonos.

2) Some "malformed" meta data is "killing" the bridge. We have had the occasional report, mostly caused by internet radio sources that can "hang" Myro:Bridge.  Pandora, MP3, Rhapsody, XM have never produced this issue as they control the metadata whereas the radio station could decided to send anything.  This is a rare occurrence, but if you ever experience this, please report it as a bug and what source caused it.

Change Log:
- Added "OFFLINE MODE" which allows the Myro:bridge Matrix Switcher Firmware to function when there is no LAN (or DHCP server) available once installed.  You only need it plugged into to the network when setting up the mapping via the onboard web page then you can unplug the network cable.    This was a dealer request for situations like yachts where power and network is limited.

Just updated the Myro Control home page. 

I started Myro Control 5 years ago to create a better home control interface for my HAI OmniPro II home automation controller.   

Then, I needed a way to control 3rd Party devices via my Russound Controller.

Next, I wanted a better audio AirPlay streamer.

All this was a result of passion!

Tech Notes / FAQ / Camera Image Not Updating

If your camera image is not updating please do the following:

> Open Internet Explorer
> Tools
> Internet Options
> Under Browser History, click "Settings"
> Select "Every time I visit the webpage"

That will allow for the image to update.

This issue started happening in IE8.

If Myro won't arm the security system make sure you have "Auto-Bypass" and "Quick-Arm" set to "Yes" in PC Access. This is needed, otherwise, Myro won't be able to arm the system and will fail.

In order to have cameras show up after adding them to the system, you need to restart Myro. Since cameras are part of a different subsystem, it needs to be power cycled for that part of the code to start.

We are looking at a solution to make this happen automatically.

In the rare occasion that Myro:Home is not displaying any updates like zone/unit changes it means that event notifications were not enabled. If this happens, "Refresh Name Data" or restart Myro so it can reestablish a connection.

Anytime you update Myro:Home or any names or settings via PC Access it is best to "Refresh Name Data". This forces a complete reload of the local database. Occasionally, we make changes to the way we store and display data, so "Refreshing Name Data" usually fixes any issues.
